Dusk and Dawn

Dusk and Dawn In the space of a week, we saw enough dazzling sunrises and sunsets to last us the rest of the trip.  This is just as well because after we entered the Sahara, this week's pictures were the last inspiring dusk and dawn there was until Morocco. This was a sunset with a thunderhead lit up in the distance.  The bright star to the left is Venus setting. A cool morning sunrise overlooking the jungle mists. There really is nothing like a cracking sunrise while sipping your coffee. Every minute of the morning is painted anew with splashes of color. The full moon setting over a lake.  Did not even occur to me that I could have been eaten by a crocodile while taking the picture. Sunset over the plains of the Sahel. A lone tree in the fire of a sunset. Maybe there really are these many great moments in nature and one just needs to be awake to experience them.  Next week's collage is of huts.
