| Libreville, Gabon
| |
| The only reason we are going to Libreville is to get our Cameroon visas. Since we are going to be there though, it will also give us a chance to stock up on some supplies and patch our flat tire. | |
| | | | | Bush meat: the closer we got to Libreville, the more we saw it along the side of the road. Monkeys and duikers were the most common delicacies available for sale. | | |
| | | | | It is always nice to feel like a rock star, especially when your fans are so shocked to see you. | | |
| | | | | Here is another hardworking woman. Meanwhile, the men sit in the shade drinking beer while discussing the future of politics and life. | | |
| | | | | We found a tire center that could patch and balance our flat. He never managed to get it just right though. | | |
| | | | | Here is the local market with its selection of fresh fish, which was mostly barracuda that day. | | |
| | | | | It is not as nice as the US Capital but their senate building still has a refreshingly clean layout to it. | | |
| | | | | Then there was the shopping center. If you were willing to pay for it, you could buy anything you wanted there. The foie gras tempted us but at $100 per pound, we decided to stick with frozen chicken instead. | | |
| Luckily, we were able to pick up our visas the same day and it only cost us $120 each! Before leaving for Cape Esterias tomorrow, Libreville enchanted us enough to spend a another day here eating and walking around the promenade area. | |
